CRAFT & STORY

Ajrakh is a traditional block-printing technique originating from the regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan in India. It involves several stages of resist dyeing and block printing, resulting in richly colored fabrics with intricate geometric and floral motifs. Ajrakh textiles are highly prized for their craftsmanship and cultural significance, often used for clothing, shawls, and home furnishings.

Chanderi is a traditional ethnic fabric characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel. The fabric borrowed its name from the small town Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh where traditional weavers practice the art of producing textured sarees in cotton and silk.
